How do I obtain a Building Permit? A Building Permit Application package may be picked up and returned to the town office. The Selectmen review applications weekly. If the Board approves the application, it is forwarded to the Building Inspector. It is the property owner’s responsibility to obtain the permit from the Building Inspector, Richard Gilpatric. He can be contacted Monday-Friday from 6-9 PM at 726-3590. Download instructions...
How do I get my automobile registered? The Town Clerk registers vehicles during her normal schedule of Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9-4; Tuesday 11-6 and Friday 9-3:30. Make sure you bring your old registration with you.
What are the Transfer Station Hours? The Transfer Station is open Monday, Wednesday and Sunday 10-5 and Saturday 8-5. Permits are required and may be obtained from the town office or at the Transfer Station.
Where is the cable television office? There is a Time Warner (formerly Adelphia) office at the Campton Plaza on Vintinner Road in Campton.

Where is the Post Office? Thornton shares a Post Office with the Town of Campton and it is located on Southmayd Road in that town. Phone 603-726-8952.
How do obtain a permit to burn? Permits may be obtained from the Fire Department located on NH Rte 49 in Campton (726-3300), or from a Forest Fire Warden.
